Greta Baier, is a 12 year-old New Yorker who was born with a condition called Nemaline Myopathy. She is a high risk patient so her family has stayed indoor since March when the pandemic first hit the city. Like many children, she has learned to navigate online learning since the summer but for her and her parents the pandemic has come with many other challenges. While Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio were clashing over shutting down New York City public schools, the Baier family was also trying to make a decision for their daughter.
